People who can already use AI, and practical help putting it to work

Three ways to work with us: host a intern trained in generative AI, find out where AI fits in your own operations, or enter the Japanese market with people on the ground.

Three ways to work with us

Start wherever the need is. Each one stands on its own.

Talent marketplace

Host a intern trained in generative AI

Â¥30,000/month

per company, billed monthly

Launching soon. Waitlist open.

A subscription that lets your company read the profiles of interns who have completed the 4-week programme and decide who you would like to meet. The marketplace is still being set up and is not open yet, so nothing is on sale today. Companies on the waitlist hear first.

  • Profiles of interns who have completed the 4-week programme
  • Your company approaches the interns it wants to talk to, directly
  • No fee tied to hiring anyone

AI enablement

An assessment of where AI fits in your business

Â¥300,000 (excl. tax)

credited in full against a pilot

Two to three weeks, including a day on site, ending in three to five concrete opportunities written up for you and a 60-minute session with your leadership team. The price is published, and it comes off the pilot in full if you go ahead. Both are still unusual in this market.

  • One day on site, two to three weeks in total
  • Three to five concrete opportunities, written up
  • A 60-minute report session with your leadership team

Market entry

Enter the Japanese market with people on the ground

from $10,000 / 3 months

scope agreed before we start

For companies based outside Japan: entity and account setup, first customer conversations, hiring, and the day-to-day of operating here, run with a bilingual team based in Tokyo.

  • A bilingual team based in Tokyo
  • Scoped in three-month blocks
  • Operated with you, not handed over as a report

What our interns have been trained to do

APRO interns complete a 4-week, project-based programme in generative-AI-based ways of working. They work on real projects, their task completion is checked every week, and pitching and communication training are mandatory. On completion each intern receives a certificate recording what the training covered and what they achieved.

Document drafting and translation support

Preparing business documents in English and Japanese, materials for overseas customers, and quotation documents efficiently with generative AI.

Automating routine tasks

Automating repetitive administrative work and data organisation by combining AI tools with spreadsheets.

Using AI development tools

Working with tools such as Claude Code to build small tools and prototypes suited to the task at hand.

Organising records and knowledge

Turning meeting and discussion records into structured document drafts with generative AI, easy to search and share.

Example applications in manufacturing

Two areas companies have raised with us. Both are possibilities to explore together, not results we guarantee.

Support for documenting experienced engineers' knowledge

One possible application: drafting manuals and procedure documents with generative AI from records of interviews with experienced engineers. Review and approval of the content is always carried out by your own engineers.

Support for quotation and cost-estimation work

Another possible application: organising information from past job records and technical drawings, as groundwork for preparing quotations. Judgement and the final estimate rest with your own staff.

Confidentiality and safety

  • During the practicum, interns use only the tools and environments your company designates.
  • Interns sign a written confidentiality pledge before the practicum begins.
  • Anything a intern produces is always checked and approved by your own staff.

Subsidy support

デジタル化・AI導入補助金2026

A national programme that can cover part of the cost of adopting AI, and of the consulting around it, for eligible small and medium-sized companies. We help assemble the application; the filing itself is made by your company, and we can work alongside your accountant or other advisers.

Subsidy rates, caps, and eligibility are set by the administering body and reviewed each year, so we confirm the current terms with you before quoting anything. The decision to award rests with the administering body.

The talent marketplace is launching

The marketplace opens once the notification under Japan's specified recruitment information provision rules has been filed. Until then there is nothing to buy and no access to promise. Leave your details and we will tell you when subscriptions open.

  • Nothing to pay and nothing to sign today
  • Waitlisted companies hear first when subscriptions open
  • Unsubscribe at any time

Company name and email is all we need.

What hosting a intern involves

If your company decides to host a intern, this is what we ask of you.

  • Real project work with a clear output, agreed in advance
  • A named mentor or supervisor on your team
  • A standard workspace and equipment, and the tools you want used
  • Regular feedback to the intern and to APRO

Prefer to talk it through first?

A 30-minute online briefing, in Japanese or English: what the interns can do, what hosting involves, and what an assessment would look at.

APRO is a joint venture between Peace Works K.K. and LokaLingo K.K.
